Humidity/Mold related projects completed:

  • McNeil pharmaceuticals- Dorado, PR- Conducted Engineering analysis investigation to resolve humidity issues at the manufacturing plant that processed and packed Tylenol products. Proposed solution saved over $100K in new equipment installation.
  • Cape May, NJ:
    • Completed engineering analysis and full HVAC design to resolve humidity issues at Olympic size indoor pool in a recruit training center for the US Coast Guard.
    • Completed engineering analysis investigation to resolve humidity issues at pharmacy located at a military Base.
  • Bayamon, PR
    • (2004) Developed engineering analysis as part of Master Thesis at Georgia tech to resolve long standing humidity and mold issues at 150 government housing units.
    • (2013) Completed engineering analysis investigation to find the causal factor of high humidity issues that developed after installing brand new HVAC systems to 150  homes.
  • Gulfport, MS
    • Conducted emergency engineering analysis and full size specifications to resolve humidity issues and remove mold that had infested the walls and ceiling of a modular building administration building.
  • Pascagoula, MS
    • Conducted engineering analysis and full size specification to replace HVAC system and resolve humidity issues caused in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
  • Key West, FL
    • Conducted emergency engineering analysis to three story -100 room apartment building to reduce humidity levels in order to improve environmental conditions and make building habitable while awaiting full system replacement.
  • Yankeetown, FL
    • Conducted emergency engineering analysis to resolve high humidity and mold spreading throughout the CG  Station building. Temporary changes implemented contained mold growth until the make up air  unit was installed two months later.
  • Sand Key, FL- (Summer 2015)
    • Conducted emergency engineering analysis to resolve high humidity and mold conditions caused by a  water leak. Temporary recommendations stopped mold growth until the leak was repaired.
  • Freeport, TX  (January 2016)
    • Conducted an emergency engineering analysis investigation and complete building cooling load re-design in order to find the causal factor of high humidity and mold condition that lead to closing the multi purpose two story building.
  • Clearwater, FL
    • Conducted emergency engineering investigation to discover the causal factor of mold growth at the bathrooms of the Air Station main Hangar building. Provided recommendation that improved humidity and reduced mold growth.
  • Ft Myers FL- Summer 2016.
    • Conducted emergency assessment to barracks rooms infested with mold. Discovered the causal factor of mold that was related to an HVAC design flaw. Recommendation resulted in eliminating a longstanding mold issue that continued to re-occur through the years.
  • Sand Key, FL: (OCT 2016)
    • Completed a study to find out the reason for consistent high humidity in the administrative offices averaging 75% relative humidity. Completed cooling load analysis discovering an original design flaw that caused the spaced to be over cooled. Provided scope of work that will  adjust the system parameters via testing and balancing and will result in an average humidity level below 60% as required by AHSRAE STD 62.
